Start Menu Tools
I just did a clean install of Windows 7 pro-64bit and am in the process of reinstalling all my programs. I just finished the reinstall of a fully licensed version of ATIH 2012 and noticed that it did not add the "Tools and Utilities" folder to my Windows 7 start menu. do I need to install ATIH 2011 first and then apply the update? or is there something else happening here. The program appears to be working fine including all the tools that are normally listed in the Start Menu "Tool and Utilities" folder
any ideas... Anybody?
Thanks

Thanks... I had already tried that before I posted, so I tried it again with the same results (no "Tools and Utilities" folder in Windows "Start Menu")... So I ran the repair install again this time selecting the "Modify" option and selecting the "Media Builder" option that had not been checked the first time through and that did the trick
so FYI... in order to get the "Tools and Utilities" folder in the Windows "Start Menu" the option to install "Media Builder" must be selected during the "Initial" install or during a "Repair/Modify" install

So the issue becomes what caused your install to be different than the norm. This problem is a new problem--or at least just now being reported. Thanks for the update. At least we know how to advise others how to fix such an issue.

@GroverH
I may have inadvertently unchecked the "Media Builder" option during the initial install... but I can't say for certain. It is very likely I did uncheck the option because I already have a fully functional rescue disk with all the current Acronis progams on it. The fact that the option was unchecked when I did the "Repair Install > Modify" makes me think that it I did uncheck it during the initial install
Thanks for all your help
