Hello,
I have the trial version of Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 and I need to install it fast. However, I am not able to get past the registration as I use proxy.

Please help as soon as possible,

Is there a pressing need for DD right now? The trial version is very limited so it might help to know what your goal is.

You may need to contact Acronis Support and request a version that doesn't require internet access to install. As far as I know, it's the only way around it.

the thing is i would like to convert one of my extended disk drives into a primary one w/o loosing any data...
So .. i need it pretty fast....

I tried the supoort thing but i cant send it for some reason...

thx for helping :)

The trial version of DD will basically only let you go through the steps of a procedure.

From the Acronis website:
Acronis® Disk Director Suite 10.0 trial version has the following limitations:

  • All the operations are shown in the software interface and can be planned, but not executed – no changes to your hard drives / partitions will be done
  • The only allowed operation is the creation of partitions of minimum possible size (usually, 1 cylinder ~ 7,8 MB) – only if you have the free unallocated space on the drive
  • Acronis OS Selector (if installed) trial period expires after 15 days, and then starts with a 15 seconds delay

Even if you get the trial installed, it won't let you do the conversion.

Is it possible for u to get the un-register version for me and i will buy it later..

thx man! u rok

I'm not in a position to give out that file. You will have to contact Acronis Support and request it. Try sending a PM to one of the Acronis Moderators if you're not getting any response from support.

You can also try the Live Chat service from the support page. In the Contact us section, click the Start here button and follow the steps.

However, as already stated, the trial/demo version of DD won't let you do what you want.

You would also be advised to make an image of the drive before partition fiddling - in case it all goes pear shaped.

I have the feeling the request for modification of my bootwiz us, so I can install Windows 7 in OSS selector. Windows 7 is on the partition - D 18,55 GB

I'm not sure I'd recommend trying to use DD10 OSS on W7 just yet.

It limps along with Vista and obviously is so old it doesn't know anything of W7. Of course the OSS that is part of TI itself might be a newer version.

K0LO has been running DD 10 on Windows 7 for a long time and, as far as I know, it's been doing fine.

Aside from the fact that OSS doesn't detect Windows 7 automatically, the problems are the same as with Vista (as are the solutions).

Also, DD and/or OSS don't have to be installed to use OSS as a boot manager.

Jan,

I just created a new thread for adding Windows 7 to OSS. I will reply in that thread. This thread shouldn't get that far off-topic.

Please read the instructions linked in the referenced thread and attached the correct BOOTWIZ.OSS file to your post. I'm not going to make changes with only screenshots of the file (I'd have to retype the whole thing).

That's due to the way the forum accounts have been set up. I've already PM'd Michael about it.

Find a post written by the person you want to send a PM to and then click on the little (almost invisble) icon underneath the Posts counter on the left side.

The PM system is a mess right now. Hopefully, it will get fixed soon.
