Too Many Activations
I have a licensed copy of ATIH installed. For some time now I have been regularly receiving messages advising me to activate the product. So each time I click on the button provided to activate and am then advised I have activated successfully.
Now I am being told that I have too many activations and must install on another computer. I only have one computer on which I want Acronis True Image installed.
How do I fix this problem?

This is a problem with the activation scheme and you are not the only one experiencing it. Alas, hopefully it will be repaired in the next release or Acronis will get rid of repeated on-line activation; it can be a pita.

OK, this was happening to me intermittently for the last month or so - but now it happens EVERY day - so I simply deactivate it on my computer and promise that's what I am doing (and then I restart my machine or the software to reactivate it on the SAME computer) BUT now I keep getting the "too many activations" message each time after restarting - real bummer - I thought it was my machine somehow changing it's identity (at least according to the Acronis software)
I am using True Image Home just purchased in December

I have not been able to resolve the problem. in desperation I changed the name of my computer and deactivated the licence against the old name. Initially, this seemed to have worked because the "about" window clearly indicated activation was now OK. However later in the day when I re-opened windows, I again had the box telling me, I had too many activations and when I checked the "about" window it now showed "30 days left for activation". This software was purchased in October and updated to the latest build recently.

Heppy, John,
Just for information purposes do you have TI installed as a single user or all users? I'm just wondering if this could be a user ID problem rather than a system ID one.

If I was asked during installation, I probably Installed TI for all users, even though I am the only user. Today the "too many activations" box came up after I logged on, but when I checked the about window, it is now showing "Full Version Activated".

Heppy,
I wonder if the Acronis authentication server was either overloaded or there was difficulty getting to the server, suddenly it got through and now all is OK with the world - of course discount that thought if tomorrow the same thing happens again.

Hello all,
Thank you for taking time to contact us.
heppy,
To find the exact reason of the encountered issue we need a remote access to your system. If you agree to provide us with it, please send me a PM.
Thank you.

Only a guess but I suspect that when you boot up your machine and the ati services load, ati tries to verify activation, and if it does this before the network service is up and running, it will fail and the result is an error message about activation.

Hi Oleg- sorry, what's a PM? I can give you access through my "log me in" account if you like unless you have another method that doesnt require me to give you that level of access to machines I use.
Please send me an email directly to rubioj@sfusd.edu and give me a work phone number where I can call you before I give out that information
thanks
John

I have 3 iterations of windows 7 on the same computer but different hard drives. One is for testing purposes, one general purpose and one for vertical scientific programs. If I try to run all programs on one iteration I get massive conflicts and the test iteration crashes frequently so periodically I format the drive and start fresh. So I have a quad boot system with Linux and 3 windows installs. I now get to many activations in all 3 windows installs. Is there any way to get Arconis home 12 to understand my setup?
