Upgrade issues AB&R 11 17437 on Domain Controller

I'm trying to upgrade to AB&R 11 17437 still getting the following error after adding the named account as a member of the domain admins group.

Service 'Acronis Managed Machine Service' is running under account '.\Acronis Agent User' on the domain controller machine. Manually add the account to domain administrators group 'Administrators'.

Sorry, but I understand this right?
1. You installed the backup server on a domain controller?
2. You gave the backup user the rights of a domain admin?

Not really...

Yes, I installed the software on the only central point in the office, the office server, which is a domain controller.
No, it's not best practice, but we only have about 20 users, so having a network of multiple servers isn't feasible or cost effective.

Yes, I made the account an administrators group member, which it wasn't until that point, (just an acronis remote user group member,) and then a domain admin member and just about any other kind of admin, and still I can't update the software.
