Bootable CD doesn't start up

Thread needs solution

I created a bootable CD by downloading the ATIH2012 iso file and using the Windows 7 utility to burn the disc. When I try to use this CD, I see the first selection screen, the flash screen for ATIH2012, and then the screen goes black with a blinking cursor and nothing else happens. I tried this CD in an older Win XP laptop and it loads and starts the program as it is supposed to, so it looks like the CD is good. My goal is to replace the hard drive in the Win 7 computer (IBM/Lenovo T60P laptop) by cloning the old drive on to the new drive, and the bootable CD is necessary for this operation.

The CD is not compatible with your machine. It's possible that some different startup pramenters might help (check user guide) but the more likely thing More than likely it's a matter of the linux drivers the cd has not covering your machine. If your are in the warranty period initiate a service request by contacting chat. Unless you can use the bootCD, you probably can't do a diskmode restore on this machine with ATI.
