Strange entry in log

Thread needs solution

I've just seen a line in my email notification, which doesn't seem to bring me any links when I search the KB/forums

It says "Removing verification requirement for database access."

I set up each of my tasks (different segments of disks) to validate on creation and in addition to a schedule which varied depending on the task.

I now see that all have had the "Validate on creation" tick removed, and only the schedule tick remains.

So is "Validate on creation" a one time only validation? The help file is a bit confusing on this point

Colin,
When a new task is created, the default settings will run a validation on a back up image once a month. However, the first time a new task is created and run, validation occurs right after the back up task completes. If you don't change the default settings validation only happens once a month at the tasks scheduled start time +15 minutes.

If you were to open the advanced settings for the scheduled task and select the Do Not Schedule button, validation will only occur if you tell the program to do so manually by right-clicking on a back up and selecting Validate.

I suspect that this message "Removing verification requirement for database access." has to do with the way image file information is stored in the archives.xml file. This is the meta-data that is used to populate the list of backups and their locations in the user interface.  I'm sure someone with in-depth knowledge of the software can advise better about this.
