We bought Acronics 2011 and we want to install Acronics disk director home. My question is if I need another serial key.

Each of the two programs (Acronis True Image Home 2011 and Acronis Disk Director 11) requires its own installation key. When you install Disk Director it will ask you to enter your Disk Director key.

Hello, We are using the version of Acronis 2011 to make clones of some equipment (machines), but when we use these clones in the machines simply are not recognized as boot systems, I have done the same cloning Windows XP and I have worked clones , there will be some compatibility issues with NTFS, HPFS and FAT format.

Thanks

But it is different or is the same Key that i used for install acronis 2011.

If is different. I need to buy or must be together with the other one?

They are completely different keys (TI and DD are different programs). You need to buy a copy of DD in order to get a valid key for it. You can't use the TI 2011 key to install DD 11. The two keys are not used "together" since they are separate programs.

Somebody can help me?
I am making backups to the machines, the OS 2 is OS/2Warp 4.0 and higher, the problem is that i can't use the clones or images, somebody have idea why i can't use them.

Thanks

I would guess the problem is more likely boot related than file system related. Does the clone boot if you do a boot repair on it? I would doubt TI (especially the current versions) having support for OS/2.

Have you tried creating a sector-by-sector backup image of the entire drive so it gets everything?

Yes, I made clones sector by sector, but the problem is the same. It could be the acronis version?

Thanks.

I haven't played around with OS/2 Warp since Windows 3.0/3.1. I don't know if I'll be able to offer any help. However, if you posted exactly what happens (any error messages, what the computer does when you try to boot the drive, drive configuration, etc.) it might help.

Ok, After I installed the HD, the machine never recognized the OS, my screen is black, the cursor is flashing , sometime I had an error "Operative system not found."

Thanks.

I'm cloning an operating system called OS / 2 Warp 4.0 with acronics 2011, Acronics is running under Windows XP, cloning is apparently fine but when I try to use the new disk (clone) does not recognize the machine, why? Can you help with this problem.
Thank you.
