need drivers for image restore process

Thread needs solution

i'm using the true image home premium 2012 plus pack boot disc to make a backup of a hard drive from one computer and restore the image to the hard drive in another computer.

the backup was made from a SATA drive using the sector-by-sector and universal options (for restoring to different hardware).

i started the restore process to an IDE drive but eventually i see the attached message, so i'm guessing that i need to point the restore process to the required drivers so that the Windows installation "recognizes" the new hard drive, correct?

do i need to point the restore process to the contents of the motherboard's driver CD in order for it to find the drivers that it requires, or is there something else that i need to do for the restore process to find the drivers that it needs?

any ideas?

Greetings,
That looks like a SiS PCI to USB controller driver. If pointing the the MB CD doesn't work ( and it might not), put the files on a USB stick in the root. Be prepared to supply more drivers for the other (new) hardware present.

thanks, i just clicked Ignore and the restore process finished.

windows booted properly right away and i just used the motherboard's driver CD to load the drivers for that device.

thanks again!

A happy ending. Glad to hear it worked out for you.
