ATIH 2012 tib file size reduce by 181GB compared to ATIH 2011
Prior to installing ATIH 2012 I ran a full backup with ATIH 2011 using the Disk Mode. The .tib file size was 213GB. After installing ATIH 2012 and ran a Full backup using the Disk Mode the .tib file size was 52GB. No additional data was added between the backups except for the upgrade to ATIH 2012. When you look at the properties for the drive, the used space says 255GB. So I'm inclined to believe that the ATIH 2011 file size is correct. Why is there such a big difference (161GB) between the two verions? When examining the .tib file it appears to contain all the files, but I have know way of knowing for sure. I even mounted the .tib file with no errors. I also have successfully completed a validation. How do I know the backup contains all the data? Need help resolving this issue!!

In addition to Pat's comments, are you positive that a Full backup image was created? Is it possible that a differential or incremental backup was made by accident?

Thanks for responding, I'm absolutely sure that it is a full backup using the Disk Mode and I've also ran a chkdsk /r successfully with no errors.
Since my initial post I've performed a full backup using a ATIH 2011 Boot disk, the backup was to the same location that the ATIH 2012 .tib (52GB) file is located, and another ATIH 2011 Boot disk backup to an external drive. The result of both backups was a .tib file of 213GB in each location. My next step is to do the same backups using the store bought ATIH 2012 disk, my thinking is the installed ATIH 2012 could be corrupted somehow. If the ATIH 2012 boot disk produces a 213GB file, I'll probably remove the ATIH 2012 program, and then reinstall. I would appreciated any other ideas you have.
Regards .... Pete

Your plan sounds good. Just watch the settings in ATI. If you attempt to create a full backup to a location that contains another backup with the same name, the program will create an incremental image despite your settings.
