ABR 10 issues with Remote Components Installation

Thread needs solution

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to deploy ABR components on approximatively 110 computers.

Our management console has already got 142 registered computers, but we're totally in troubles with those 110 computers.

In fact, i don't really know what are the main prerequisites for Acronis remote agents. (Acronis Agent Windows and Acronis Universal Restore) It seems extremely unpredictable from one machine to another (with the same configuration)

So because of this, i'm encountering 3 big issues :

- When i'm asking the console to launch the remote installation, it immediately fails on some computers, and is very long for others, then fails.

- When the console manages to deploy the components, i can't see the computer in the management console, even if the installation was successful (yesterday i managed to deploy the components on 11 computers, only 2 of them are visible in the console.)

- Sometimes the console declares some machines as "offline", but i can still manage them (launching a save, trying to restore something, etc..and it's working)

I hope that someone has got answers for me.

Thank you for reading.

Universal Restore is not needed in any way for remote operations.

For the offline/withdrawn(?) machines, the article http://kb.acronis.com/content/3449 may be helpful for you.

Did you already go through those three?
http://kb.acronis.com/content/4939 - Remote Installation of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Components Fails Immediately after Clicking "Proceed"
http://kb.acronis.com/content/21545 "Preparing Machines for Remote Installation" (applies to version 10 as well)

What i'd also recommend is version 11, which can do parallel remote installations - see http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR11/#14244.html and also http://kb.acronis.com/ABR11
