Recovering a Ext3 partition
Hi.
Well, long story short:
I'm trying to recover the backup of a ext3 partion and get an "There is insufficient
space in the recovery destination" error.
Long story long:
I have a multi-partitioned disk, with both ntfs and ext3 partitions. Using ATIH2012
I was able to back-up some partitions I chose, including a ext3 one.
Now I'm trying to recover them. Running in Windows (not from a boot CD) ATIH
automtically selects the right disk and the right destination partitions. It happens
that the ext3 partition can't be recovered because "There is insufficient space in the
recovery destination".
Am I doing something wrong? Perhaps this is not the right way of doing things?
Thanks!
PS: I'm using ATIH2012 build 6154.

yeah. Booting with WinPE ATIH allows me to select the right destinations to all
partitions, including the Ext3 one (no "insufficient space" error).
The thing is: how can I be sure whether the recovering will proceed ok or not when
necessary...

Method one:
Boot up with the winPE bootcd you've made and go through all the steps except for the final proceed. This ensures that the bootcd will be able to see your drives, select the tib to restore, etc.
Method Two:
Do the above but also do the final Proceed and therefore do an actual restore.
