[RESOLVED] Failed to Read Data
Hi,
I am using True Image for SBS, build 8,206 and keep getting an error failed to read from sector 63 of hard disk 2. This problem has only been occuring since an Acronis image was restored to new disks. I have ran chkdsk which has detected no issues. I have also tried running in silent mode and ignoring errors but the backup gets stuck with this prompt every morning.
Can anyone tell me how I can make Acronis ignore the errors and proceed with the backup?
Thanks,
Graham

I am running Acronis® True Image Home® version 11.0 (build 8,101). I run Windows XP Pro SP1. I create/store my backups on a Nextar SATA hard drive connected by USB. My full disk backups are scheduled to run overnight in the early morning hours 7 days a week.
I had no problems until yesterday when I got an error which I also got again this morning. After clicking on "ignore all" my backup completed successfully.
"E000101F4: Failed to read data from the disk. Failed to read from the sector 63 of the hard disk 2"
Please tell me how I should deal with this so I don't have to continue with this daily manual intervention? Thank you!

Hello MikeyrInFL,
Thank you for posting about the issue.
In general, this error appears when the product cannot properly access the drive. It happens when there are errors on the drive, or the snapapi drivers are blocked by some third-party software drivers.
Anyway, Anton had already specified the solution in this his comment. Please follow the instructions mentioned, and let us know the results.

Followed your guidance with some success. However, moving the USP cable from the hub to direct connection with USP port on my PC solved the problem, thanks!
