Daily versus Weekly (every day): Any difference?

Thread needs solution

I can define a weekly schedule for a backup job and pick on which days of the week it will run. I can pick every day of the week (Mon-Sun) for a weekly backup. Well, if I'm picking every day of the week, isn't that the same as a daily backup (scheduled once per day)?

Daily backup: once at 5AM
versus
Weekly backup: every day (Mon-Sun) at 5AM

Won't those two schedules result in the same schedule?

Why do I ask? Because a once-daily schedule is easier to understand than an every-day-of-the-week weekly schedule. I figured I could simply my schedule from weekly (every day) to once every day. Just wanted to ask in case someone knows of a gotcha.

In yourcase there is no difference, the reason why there are the two different options is that some people have complex daily tasks and the single day option allows them this flexibility.
