Build 7119: Failed to get the account information

Thread needs solution

I have just updated TIH 2012 to Update 2 Build 7119.

Now when I open the log in the gui, there is a warning that "Failed to get the account information". This did not happen before the update (ie, not in Build 6154).

The message seems to be put into the log when the gui is started rather than when the log is opened from the gui.

Help would be appreciated. Thanks
Jerry

Welcome Jerry,
I didn't get any hits for this after searching the KB. Have you used the synchonization or online back up features with the previously installed version (in the past)?

In addition to what shadowsports has suggested,
you can look in the upper right corner and see whether it read "logout" or login. If it reads "logout". then click on that if you want to log out of that option. The normal default reads "login" which means it is not in use.

If you have no plans to use online backup or synchronization, you can also stop those services and change them to manual rather than automatic and started.

Thanks ShadowSports and GroverH for your help. Unfortunately, your leads didn't end up solving this problem.

What did solve it was a Windows Restore to my manual restore point before 7119 was installed, and then doing another 7119 install. ...well, it worked sort of...

The original problem is gone. Now I am getting "Configuration file is not found and cannot be created" warnings in the log. Checking around the TIH 2012 forum, I see that this is not an uncommon problem but there is no solution at all posted from Acronis or elsewhere.

I think this is a result of an old partition backup which I deleted. Apparently there is still some traces of it in the TIH DB.

Any suggestions?
Many thanks
Jerry

Jerry,
I have this behavior on one of my machines running build #6154. "Configuration file is not found and cannot be created". A log entry is created each time the program is opened.

I PM'ed a support manager about it this morning. Ill let you know when I get a response.

I think that GroverH and I are of the same thought, as I have not deleted any of the back up images created previously. Your error appears to be related to login failure.

Thanks ShadowSports. I'll look forward to hearing how you make out.

I don't know why I would need a login as I don't use Sync or web-based backup, and I didn't used to get this warning. I have the SyncAgent service disabled though this does not affect the problem one way or the other.

I'll definitely wait to hear from you. A last ditch plan may be to export my backup settings, do a complete uninstall/install of TIH, then import the backup settings. Obviously, I'd rather not go through all of that.

Thanks
