How To Turn Off Auto Scan of TIB Files!! Latest build 7119..Feature slows down system

Thread needs solution

I am not appreciative of the new autoscan feature of build 7119. So I previously posted and searched for an option to turn that function off. That feature bogs down the opening of Acronis and autosearches any attached USB or exernal devices. If I want to open Acronis and use the Try&Save function, I do not wish to wait 5 minutes for the latest build to finish the autoscan. I wa unsuccessful in locating anything in the Acronis manual or in topics, only one post which stated that they feature cannot be turned off. The information on the latest build states "selectable", so I began my search on how to turn that feature off.

Here is the fix in which I found:

Open Acronis, then the restore tab, then click on the options icon in the upper right corner.

You will then see "search for tibs" and it will look greyed out. Click on that option, close Acronis, re-open Acronis and viola, no more irritating and time consuming searches for tib backup files.

You would think that this option would be in the manual or something. I discovered it by providing my own tech support..

Hope this helps others who do not want this feature running all of the time..

Ray,
My apologies. You should not have had to waste your time looking for the scan solution as my response of 6 days ago (May 15 link below) which contained the solution, should have been more clear.

Anyway, I am glad you found your solution.
