Recovery of Novell 6.5 using Backup and Recovery Virtual Edition

I just moved to Acronis Backup and Recovery to backup our physical and virtual environment. Among the servers being backed up are 2 Novell 6.5 servers running virtualized under ESX 4. Backups are all successful and so far haven't encountered issues for that process.

Unfortunately, I am testing the recovery of one of the Novell servers and am not finding much joy. The virtual server consists of 2 virtual disks: 1 that is the DOS partition and 1 that is the Netware volumes. Both virtual disks are restored, the server boots to dos, but then can't find any netware partitions to boot the full netware server.

I am finding very little on this topic and am hoping for some guidance.

Does the backup itself has reasonable size, so it's not like only DOS partition was backed up at all? Does the second disk use standard partitioning scheme (MBR, I presume) or did Netware invent something else? What is controller type of the newly restored disks?
