ATIH 2012 fails to run backup scheduled on shutdown

Thread needs solution

I have 2 instances of ATIH 2012 installed; both have been instructed to run a scheduled backup at shutdown of the host computer, and (as far I can see) the user settings for the backups on the two computers are identical. The OS is Windows 7 Professional.
On one of the two (an HP laptop) backup runs reliably on shutdown. On the other, it usually fails (not quite always). The other is a desktop with Gigabyte motherboard (Z68MA-D2H-B3).
Suggestions please!

Harry,

Check what programs might be running in the background on your desktop.

Other than not performing the schedule at shutdown, does TIH work in every other respect on your desktop?

Which build of 2012 are you using?

Thank you.
In the meantime...I found and downloaded the scheduler_385 package (not the latest I think but it's the one I found). I ran the .bat and it seems to have cured the problem.
On checking the kb today I found references to at least two other versions of the scheduler restore program suite. Searching for 'scheduler' in the kb does not bring up one simple pointer to the latest version - can this be improved?
Since you asked, the build of ATIH 2012 I have is 7119. Also ATIH was not otherwise misbehaving.
It's hard to check which programs might be running the background when ATIH fails to run on shutdown - because the computer just shuts down!
