Can't complete backup

Thread needs solution

I just purchases Seagate external 3.0 Tera drive. When I attempt to back up partitiions, backup get hung up at the 40 minutes remaining spot. I've attempted at least 6 times. Ready to junk Acronis and look for another backup software. Backups occurred perfectly with older Seagagte 1.5 tera drive. Can anyone help since Acronis provides horrible support? Thank you.

Please provide some more info. Windows version, Acronis version, etc.
How is the drive connected, USB2, USB3, eSATA, Firewire, etc.
Is it connected the same way as the older drive?
Is the new drive USB3, what about the older drive?
Is the new drive partitioned as MBR or GPT?
Does the new drive have one large partition or more than one partition?
Did you create a new task when you installed the new hard drive?
If you put the 1.5TB drive back in place, does everthing still work okay?

I have the same problem. Trying to back up to a network drive.

I have now uninstalled, run the Acronis clean-up utility, re-installed and have a new error. It keeps asking for Windows credentials (even though I had no password for windows). I created a password for Windows, and it still refused to progress.

Pretty frustrating.

Patrick,
The crendentials it is asking for are the crendentials you need to access the network drive. If the drive is on another machine, use the login crendentials (user name and password) for that system.

Patrick,

If ATI is asking for your Windows credentials at startup, try disabling UAC. Other users have had this issue. Disabling UAC solved some of the cases.
