Error in backup True Image - Acronis 2013
Hello, I have a problem with Acronis 2013, the build is: 5551, Sync Agent version: 16,0,0,6671. My operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64, have 1 hd 320gb in a optiplex 990dt, I use to generate acronis backup on a removable disk 500gb WD mypassport, and the following error appears: Failed to read data from the disk. Failed to read from sector '976 .773.167 'of hard disk '3'. Try to repeat operation. If the error persists, check the Check disk using Disk Utility and create backup of the disk. Failed to read the snapshot manager driver. (0x1000D7) Unknown status. (0x9) The drive can not find the sector solicitor (0xFFF0). I've tried to run check disk in 2 units and not get hit, just ignore the warning that comes up. But let this scheduled backup every hour and can not be ignoring this message. I request your help to try to solve.

Really had installed the 2012 version, but uninstalled it and to prevent any incompatibility problem formatted removable drive to create an image from scratch.

If you haven't already, run chkdsk /r (note the space between the 'k' and the '/') on your Passport drive.
Have you tried making a completely new task and see if that has the same problems?

On top of Colin's recommendation, try to use a disk diagnostics tool from your drive manufacturer and or Dell. I had the case recently on a laptop where chkdsk /r didn't find anything but the disk diagnostic would severe issues. I am assuming the blocks were in some of the recovery or other hidden partition that I couldn't use chkdsk on.
In my situation, the backups couldn't go through at all. Do this:
- try to do a file backup of the C:\ partition and see if ATI chokes on a specific file. This was my case. I delete the corrupted file and at least I was able to complete the backup of that partition in disk and partition mode,
- to backup the partitions separately, this is what I end up being able to do after the fix above. I was then able to restore the disk to a new disk. Note that despite the above, I was not able to complete a complete disk backup.

I appreciate your attention and your help, I will perform the check disk with another tool, noting only that the error is displayed in read / write on removable hd mypassport in primary hard drive it does not crash on any file, the error occurs at the beginning of any backup job

Guys, the problem was only solved using a third party tool to format and create a new partition on the removable disk MyPassport Western Digital, used the software EASEUS PARTITION MASTER. I appreciate the attention and help of all!
