ATIH - 2011 - missing drive

Thread needs solution

I am using ATIH - 2011.

I had the OS drive C:\, and a Files drive D:\ all was fine and working well. I was backing up C:\ to D:\ w/o issues. I added another drive for backups, so I could back up both C:\ and D:\ to it. Now when I open ATI and go to "Disk and Partition Backups" it shows only drives C and E - no D. Needless to say I cannot backup up D:\.

I have uninstalled ATI, rebooted several times, re-installed ATI, rebooted several times, still no D:\.
D:\ shows up in Windows Explorer and Disk Management - so I know the machine sees it. I know ATI saw it before I added the 3rd drive.

Have been using ATI for years, since "8", never had this happen before. Suggestions appreciated.

Does TI see "D:" if you boot to the TI CD? Note that it may be assigned a different drive letter.

What build of TI 2011 are you using?

Build 6942 - issue resolved. More Features - File Backup - "Files D" shows up in left pane under COMPUTER - checked the box to back up the drive - all good.
Now when I open ATI the FILES D backup is listed under My Backups, I just click on it an it backs up the drive.

I am running Windows 8, legit TechNet versions on 2 machines, each with its own legit ATI 2011 key. I bought ATI 2012, can't get it, or the trial version of 2013 to install in Windows 8. I used ATI 2011 in the 3 "Preview" version of Windows 8 - never failed me once.

Thanks for taking the time to reply MudCrab.

I assume you know that you won't be able to restore the "D:" partition with the File backup you created. You will be able to restore the files/folders.

On the 1st Win8 install, when the D drive showed up under Disk & Partition Backup, I can restore the backup. On the 2nd Win8 install, the one I originally posted about, I haven't tried to restore it. I have never restored a files drive now that I think about it, but 100s of OS restores.

I was curious as to why the drive ddin't show up, and I still don't know. I have several "work around" options, and good old RAID1 to fall back on. I do appreciate your input.
