Validate "jpg" / "bmp"

Thread needs solution

I make backups, the final message is "Operation OK" but when I try to make a "Validate Backup Archive" I have the message "File Corrupted".
All time because can't upload "jpd" or "bmp" files.

What can I do?
If really I have to make a Recovery what will hapen?

Thanks,

Are you backing up only JPG and BMP files? If so, don't use True Image for this.

No, I make a full backup of my HD.
But the error message, "file corrupted" show me that concern "jpg" or "bmp" files.

Have you tried excluding jpg and bmp files from your backup? Many of us have our data files on another internal disk or on a separate partition, so our backups with TI are of the system disk only. In any case TI will not compress jpg files very much if at all.

Data files we believe are better backed up with a program such as Karens Replicator or Microsofts SyncToy both free

My HD contains tons of such files. no issues with any backup for any version v10,v11, v2010
so speaking generically, TI does not have an issue with such data or for that matter any file types.

I doubt its that file type but rather a disk/device issue. frst try a chkdsk /r on both the source drive (c:) and then the destination drive.
Then try your backup again.
I suspect the issue is your target device that holds the backups.
If still issues.
Try defining a job which backs up just a folder which conains the suspect files. If backup & validate works you know its not that folder so expand into others, if it does not work its something about those files you selected. Try reducing the list in 1/2. if that works try the other 1/2 it should fail. follow this process to its end and you will either have 100% of the disk selected for backup and that backup worked , or you have it narrowed down to 1 or 2 files that cause the bacup to fail. At which point I would look into what is weird about that specific file. In general there are not issues with ".jpg and .bmp"

I'll try but is difficult for me to understand: I have 1 desktop with Win2000 and a laptop with XP, each has a different Acronis True Image(2009 and Home11) and on both I have the same problem.

Anyway thank you very much.
