Random detection of external Flash Cards for restoration/backup

Thread needs solution

Hi,

We've been in trouble with that for some time now. We have some specific computers, boarded in some planes, which run their Windows from a Flash drive where we plug 32 GB Compact Flash cards.

We used to run Acronis True Image Home 2011, I upgraded to the 2013 version, but nothing changes.

What's happening is that often, the Compact Flash card is not detected by ATI. The compact flash cards have been plugged in several external (or the computer internal) card readers, nothing changes. I have to mention that the cards are detected by Windows XP/7 on the computers, and seen under the disk management tools. I have the problem on the 2 computers where ATI is installed and used.

Sometimes, when it works, i regen a flash card, i remove it (cleanly, using the Windows eject mode), and when i plug another one, it's not seen anymore. I then restart the computer, and it might work (but that's absolutly not sure).

What's going on ? I'm currently restoring 10 cards, and I'm fed up.

Thanks in advance for any help !

Since you are entitled to support for your 2013 version, I would suggest you open a case with Acronis support. They would be better able to assist you than forum members with this problem. http://www.acronis.com/support/contact-us.html

Spear,

I suspect there is some issue with your drivers.

I'd suggest you uninstall 2013, use the 2011 cleanup utility found here, then the 2013 cleanup utility found here for good measure.

Then reinstall 2013.
