Acronis TIH 2012 Plus - Wanting to backup XP and restore to new hardware

Thread needs solution

I have several gripes, I installed True Image home 2012 Plus on my XP professional system so I could back up and reinstall to an new motherboard.

First, even though when I insert the Plus CD and it tells me that plus is already on my system I cannot detect any indication when I run Acronis that it is the PLUS version.

Second, to me the program does not appear to be very intuitive as to how to go about the task I'm attempting (back up my existing xp OS then re-install it to onto a new hardware configuration. ( new motherboard and video card).

I'd hate to back up xp and then be unable to install it because I am not actually running the "plus" version or because I didn't understand exactly how to do it.

Where can I find instructions to do this and also confirm that I am using PLUS properly so I can migrate it to a new setup?

Plus Pack isn't the most intuitive process. These links should help:
