acronis secure zone creation stops my computer from starting under win 8

Thread needs solution

Hiya,

just upgraded my 2013 Acronis to 2013 + plus pack, playing with it i decided to use the Acronis secure zone feature, I accepted the default settings throughout, then it told me i must reboot or the creation of the secure zone partition would be cancelled, i chose reboot.

on reboot win 8 wouldn't load and kept on rebooting with the error " your pc couldn't start so we have restarted it for you" or similar, not sure as message only shows for a few seconds.

it also said a required device isn't connected to your system or couldn't be accessed error code 0xc000000e

when the sys boots it shows
starting Acronis loader
press f11 to start ...... (something else but was too quick for me to write it down)

then the above message

Help Help please ........

Geoff,

Silly question are you positive you selected Secure Zone and not Acronis Start up Manager by mistake?

Does your system use Secure Boot and is UEFI based?

If you have made a Recovery CD (Acronis) you can do the following to get your PC booting again.

1. Enter the BIOS and disable Secure Boot and switch UEFI to Legacy.

2. Insert Recovery CD and reboot.

3. From the recovery CD de-activate the ASRM and delete the SZ.

4. Reboot PC enter BIOS and switch Secure Boot back on and reenable UEFI.

5. Reboot, your Windows 8 should now reappear.
