New to the software, Trying to Clone my First Laptop to my Second - Sysprep

Thread needs solution

Please forget me, but I am trying to resolve this issue which I have been hitting a brick wall.

I am trying to clone my laptop, so that I can transfer the image onto a different / same Make and Model machine. as I have two Dell Latitude D630 machines.

I have build an Golden Image "I think that is the term for the finish image"
I true to clone this with my True Image 2013 which when well.
I then restored this image back onto my other laptop.
I read somewhere that I have to rename the laptop to something else if I was going to have them both on the network so I rename my second laptop.

So when I tried to log my works citrix Environment. I started to get funny resorts.

I also have read that I have to use Sysprep ? as I need a new SID ? This confused me,

if this is true then can someone example this and point out what I need to do, so that I can clone my first laptop and place it on my second,

Chris,

What funny results are you getting?

The SID relates to the physical installation. Sysprep does remove SSID's and allows a deployment image to be driver neutral.

Do you get these 'funny' results if you just have one PC/laptop connected to the Citrix environment?

Hi Colin, thanks for the post,

I have found out why it was not working, I was using the wrong Licence Key, I was using a OEM, and I should have been using a Site Licence.
