TI 2013 cannot mount images under my windows 8

Hi to all,

I just installed TI 2013 on my brand new laptop Under Windows 8 Pro - 64 bits - as I eagerly expected to retrieve data from TI backups taken on my former PC.

Unfortunately, TI 2013 constantly fails to assign letters when I try to mount an image from ANY backup (including those made on my new laptop).

I suspect (although I am by no means an expert of Windows 8) that the issue comes from some conflict with a hidden recovery partition on the C: disk (WINRE) which is not assigned any letter (as can be seen within the disk manager) nor can it be assigned any by the way.

Does this ring a bell to any of you ? I would be exceedingly thankful to anybody who might solve this issue.

Hi again,

As a newcomer to the forum, I had not fully explored former posts on same kind of problems.

I did that now, and I found out that a comparable issue had already been posted. The solution proposed (TI explorer facilty, which I did not know) seems to work and could be an acceptable workaround to my problem.

Anyway, if there was also a technical solution for the problem, it would be GREAT.
