Made backup of server HDD (RAID-1) with True Image 2013 trial

I made a backup of a failing HDD in a raid-1 setup in a Dell Poweredge Server. The raid is SAS 6 / ir.

I've read that if you don't use a specific version of True Image, that it won't work.

The HDD is now more or less dead. My only images of it are the ones I made with Acronis.

When I restore the images to a functioning HDD I receive a "unmountable_boot_volume" error at startup.

Is this cause for not using the correct backup? Do I need to buy another edition of True Image designed for servers? Is it too late?

Any advice / suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you back up only one hdd of the array, not the array as a whole? On which HDD did you restore this backup and to which controller it is connected? If controller is the same there is no need to buy additionally Plus Pack as long as TrueImage doesn't complain about OS inside the archive.
