Acronis Migrate Easy 7.0 Demo "Failed to register product" error
I have recently purchased a new hard drive as my old one was inadequately to small, a few people recommend I try the Acronis Migrate Easy to swap my OS and files to my new hard drive but every time I try to install the client it prompts me with a "failed to register" error at the registration window.
I would very much appreciate a solution to this problem =)

I get the same issue. I try to install the demo version and when the install wizard comes to the registration page, it will not let me past. The error message states there is something with my proxy or firewall settings that are stopping the software from registering. I do not have any proxy settings at home and when I shut the firewall off, I still get the same error. I did install the same software on my computer at work without any issues. Something with my home internet obviously but the issue is not obvious. Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

What brand of Firewall are you using?
Have you also tried switching off 'active file scanning' (if switched on) with your AV software?

I am just using Windows firewall at the moment. Nothing fancy.
I have not looked at the anti-virus settings yet. I will give that a try.

I just tried to install ME this morning and had the same issue. What's wrong with Acronis that they are not addressing this problem more seriously. Its affecting tons of potential new customers like myself.
I have Win7 x64, 8GB of Ram, and a 250GB HD and can't install a simple program...what gives? I am also running the latest AVG Internet Suite software. I disabled that, so I no its not a problem. There is not other firewall or proxy software running on my computer.
I have CS 5.5 Master Collection, NI Komplete 7 and tons of software I've installed with no problem.
I noted the above software programs because the both have a pretty rigorous registration process.

I have the same problem with registering the demo mode,although i've disabled firewall,antivirus,etc.
