[DUPLICATE] Configuration of default backup folder in Acronis True Image 2013

I am using build 6514

For some reason I can't save settings for the default folder in which I want to put backups. I also can't save "Full" as default Backup scheme. I think both problems are bugs in the product.

When I click on "Backup and recovery"/"Disk and partition backup" I get a dialog with a preset destination (say Z:\My Backups). The only way to change My Backups folder is to hit an arrow, Click browse and find the folder you need (say folder SYS). My question is "Why this version insists on using "My backups" folder ?" Also it is strange that this destination is not editable directly.

The second problem is that Acronis does not explicitly distinguish between internal label for backup and name of the file to which backup image is written. So what they call "Backup name" is a label that might have nothing in common with the name of the file and is totally independent from it.

I used Acronis 2010 till end of 2012 and never have had such horrible interface problems. Interface was pretty idiosyncratic but it was predictable. Now my impression is that they messed it up.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Well, I am having similar problems, see http://forum.acronis.com/forum/41424 which has no replies. What I did not mention in that post is that True Image always defaults back to E:\my backups when all my backups are in D:\my backups, so is probably part of the same problem as not saving changed settings as default.
