ATI Home 2012: copying .tib file to another usb hard drive, then attempt recover
I did a backup disk image of my C: drive to another USB drive (A), then copied that tib file to another
USB drive (B).
Attempting a dry run of Recover:
First off trying to find the tib file on B was problematic (browse).
But do-able after a few tries. ~flaky visibility
But then after choosing that file the program(through Recover) then seems to hangup or crash after choosing that tib file(B) through RECOVER.
I'm figuring True Image 'Home' is sub par for this moving Tib files around and then attempting a Recover operation if the file isnt where it was originally formed and placed?

Thanks for your reply.
You've done it! Great! Most valuable thing I needed to know!
My problems however I think exhibit themselves in finding the tib file within the program(flaky; 2-3 tries of clicking back and forth onto the same directory) and further when I choose a moved tib file it tries to correlate it to one of the in-program backup entries and failing that there has been some problems with moving forward.
I'm wondering if the ATI 'Home' version is a much less or lower version of this program and probably a purchase mistake over a more robust non-Home version? Or was the Home Version of ATI at least in 2012 the only game in town?

To restore disk or partitions, you should boot from the ATI bootable Rescue Media. It include a browse function which you would use to select the desired .tib to recover.

No. Acronis True Image Home is what the application used to be called. It is now called just Acronis True Image, and it does not cripple browse and selection functions as you surmise.
Acronis also offers business-oriented backup tools, but I've seen no requirements listed by you that would suggest you need one of them.

Thanks Again!
I'm sure the Recovery Disk would be the solid, bullet proof ticket
Tuttle your a great help!

One more Q:
(and a bit of a lazy one at that)
Will the Acronis Recovery Disk allow me to do Restores solely amongst my USB drives. Source: USB G: xxx.tib file , Destination USB: H

You can restore to any disk recognized by the boot media. But, there's little point restoring your system disk image to a USB drive, as you cannot boot Windows from a USB hard drive.

My language seems to confuse you or?
So your saying I cant use my main workhorse machine(Acronis installed or Recovery Disk) to Restore various backups(manydifferent Win boxes) from a backup USB drive to another drive within my USB Drive Farm, specifically with a recovery disk. And then that restored drives cannot then be moved into its target machine.

Yes, you could do that. But, don't boot the PC with two system drives attached. Disconnect the external drive before booting back into Windows.
