bootmgr is missing
I have taken backup of my OS using ATIH 2012 of old HDisk(old PC).By using this backup i try to restore it on new HDisk(new PC).Task completed successfully. But on reboot shows "bootmgr is missing press ctrl+alt+del to restart".Why?What is the solution?
(During Backup I found 4 drives C(System drive),D,E,F without any System Reserved partition.So I backup only C: drive.Both PC's Have different configurations.)

When i booted with acronis media image on older PC HDisk, i found 4 drives namely C(System Drive),D,E,F with no any system reserved partition. So i backup C: drive.I try it to restore on New PC HDisk.
(Here both PC's have different configuration & on D,E,F drive i have stored my Data)

System Reserved was just an example. My Dell laptop with Windows 7 did not have a System Reserved partition, and the boot partition was a small hidden partition.
It's always safest to create a full disk mode Backup. That way you don't need to know which partition is bootable.

I didn't understand full disk mode backup, you are saying?-Its backup modes provided by acronis like full, differential, incremental or backuping of all drives(C,D,E,F).
I have backup my C drive using Full backup mode.

It is confusing, I agree. "Full" is a method of backup, as opposed to "Incremental" or "Differential". That's not what I'm talking about here (though I also prefer that type of full backup, as it is not dependent on any earlier backup).
When I say "full disk mode Backup" I mean the selection of what to backup. I want you to select the checkbox for the entire disk (not just individual partitions). For this option, switch to disk mode (upper right blue link) until you see disks and not partitions to select. Select the disk. That ensures that you have everything you need, and you won't need to understand how the disk is laid out with possible hidden partitions. A full disk mode Backup captures everything, and is the simplest, safest backup method.

OK.But when i switch to disk mode it means it selects everything including My docs/files which i dont want, bcoz it increases backup size.So during disk mode backup is there is any way to deselect my docs/files to reduce backup size.
My criteria of backup is only to select system files.

You need to put into the exclusions box the complete path to the My Documents folder. You have to do this on a per task basis.

I'will try this.
Thank U both tuttle & Colin B for quick response.
