Uusb key made with Acronis Trueimage can not boot on secure mode

Thread needs solution

sage send to acronis

I tried Acronis usb key on my tower ACER Windos 7

The bios of the tower is an hybrid and gives me the option to enable the legacy mode

In standard mode the bios sees usb key Acronis and gives me choice to boot in efi or standard mode. If I disable the legacy mode in the bios of the tower the bios can not see the Acronis key so no boot possible.
I think it's the same problem with the Acer Iconia W510. No Legacy mode in the bios so Acronis usb key is not visible by the bios.

The usb Acronis key can not boot if you do not disable mode (UEFI secure boot). On new machines Microsift requires builder can not enable legacy mode to install Windows 8, the bios run only on UEFI mode. So if we can not desable EFI mode the usb Acronis key can not boot.

The formatted key by The Acer Iconia has two directory. An EFI directory and a boot directory. I thought the boot directory allows the bios to read the key to get the efi directory.

In the future The Acronis usb key must boot on EFI mode with secure boot enable. this is not the case with the current version 2013 of TrueImage

Your problems may be related to the way Acer is implementing their UEFI firmware.

On the Acer Tower, be sure you are running the latest version of the UEFI firmware.

The Iconia is 32 bit Atom based, and the 2013 Rescue Media does not seem to work correctly on several manufacturers 32 bit Atom processor systems.
