Restoring EXT3 image of Linux 5.1

Thread needs solution

Hope someone can help me here.

I am using ATI2013 on a bootable USB prepared as Linux (not Windows PE) and have made a complete disk backup of a drive containing Linux Redhat 5.1 containing two partitions. Both of my partitions are formatted as EXT3.

Why I restore the image all goes well and the system reboots. I am then presented with either a error just saying 'GRUB' or 'GNU GRUB' which I can enter BASH commands.

I have tried backing and restore up every way possible. From selecting the entire drive to backup as one click, to selecting the partitions separately, including disk signature.

Any advise or instruction would be greatly appreciated.

I know I had gotten it to work once, but it now eludes my.

Thanks in advance.

Darren

Darren,

Looks like you need to reactivate GRUB.
