Unable to see external USB for destination but can see it as source
I have been using True Image 2013 (6514) for a while now to help me image disks. So far, no problems until today.
I need to replace a bad WD 500GB drive. The store only had Seagate 500GB drives so i purchased one. When i go to restore an image from a network stored image file, True Image is unable to see the drive as an available destination.
Windows sees it just fine, I can read/write files to it.
I have deleted the volume on it using Windows7 drive manager.
I have tried performing the DOS clean on the drive.
I have tried multiple USB ports.
I have tried the Add new disk under True Image's Disk Management (initilizing it as MBR layout)
When i find my image, select recover, switch to disk mode, i can see my local drive. If i continue and wait for the destination list to come up, i can then select the new drive connected via USB. But it tells me there is insufficient space in the recovery destination. The image is 53GB according to True Image. The drive is 500GB.
What is strange is True Image can see it if i select it as a source.

Yes, it will be the only HD in the pc. I run True Image from my laptop and restore images to externally attached USB drives. This has worked great in the past until now with this particular drive.

Install the HD into the PC, replacing the bad drive. Boot from the ATI 2013 bootable Rescue Media and restore the image to the new HD.

In my situation, the PC is 600miles away. I want to do like i have done in the past. Restore a backup image to a HD and mail it out.

Try it from the ATI 2013 bootable Rescue Media.
