Colin B wrote:Yes, you can use your serial number again, you might need to either reactivate your serial number or possible move it from the old PC name to whatever you have named your new install.
These options should pop up autmatically when you go to run TI 2013 again for the first time.
the thing i didnt understand is how does it recognize it? i have a license which is just for 1 PC.what if i try to install it on an other pc or what if i change my motherboard or Hardisk or buy a another pc? where does it take a look at for the license?

Amongst other criteria the name you gave your PC is registered to your activation.
So reinstalling and changing your PC name in Windows will be enough to trigger the activation sequence for a single user licence. Motherboards and network cards will also cause an activation sequence. Changing a hard drive won't.
A new motherboard = a new PC as far as most software is concerned (including Microsoft), so Acronis allow you to transfer your activation information from one PC to another on a single licence.
For users who have a 3 pack licence, it is a little more involved, if they've activated all 3 serial numbers then they just have to follow the instructions for a single user, making sure they deactivate the correct PC and then activate the new one, if they haven't used all their serial numbers, they have to use one of their spare serial numbers.
