TrueImageHome2011 - differential Backup so big

Thread needs solution

Hi!

I use TrueImageHome2011.
I created a differential file backup for a partition with 500GB of data.
First time i started it the fullbackup was created.
After one month i started the next backup. I thought it would be a small differential backup because only 20 GB was changed and new. But Acronis did a 500 GB differential backup.

Attached you find some pics of this...

Why does Acronis this? Any idea?

Thanks!

If drive is defragmented prior to an incremental or differential backup, it may end up being virtually the same size as a full backup. That's because disk/partition backups are based on which sectors have changed. When a drive is defragmented, lots of sectors change, so even though to you it appears as the same data, ATI sees many changed sectors to backup.
