ATI 2013 - Post-Command Runs Prematurely
I prefer starting the backups on my system at night.
I have backup jobs that wake the computer up from sleep (using the option in the Schedule menu).
When the job completes, I want the computer to sleep. So I don't use the Shutdown option since I just want my computer to go back to sleep instead (BTW, that would be a nice addition as well in the next releases).
Therefore I use the post-command (psshutdown -d -t 60) that puts the computer to sleep 60 sec after the command is run.
However, I observe that when I resume the computer in the morning, for longer backup jobs, the backup operation is still running. That is annoying since I have to pay attention when the job finishes in order to manually cancel the sleep (otherwise, well you know what happens...).
Was this problem ever noticed in 2013?
And is this problem fixed in 2014? (because that is why I hesitate to upgrade...)

I gave it a try it appears that the problem may not be as much that the post-command run prematurely but rather the computer may not wake up at all at the expected time, despite the fact that I checked the option to wake up computer.
That would explain why I see the ATI icon in the system tray when I manually wake the computer up from the keyboard.
Would you know about any service or a feature in Windows that prevent the computer to wake up from sleep at specific times?
Or maybe in the BIOS?
Or maybe ATI is not able to deal with the Windows Scheduler for some reason?

Another option would be to use the Windows scheduler to wake the computer just prior to backup time.

I did try the Windows Scheduler solution and it works.
I also tried to change the power mode in the BIOS (without Windows Scheduler) and it doesn't work.
So the problem seems related to ATI not able to work with the Windows Scheduler services.
I'll probably need to reinstall ATI 2013 in order to know if the problem is still there or not.
If I reinstall, will I loose my backup profiles?
If so, is there a way to save them somewhere and recover them after the install?

You could save a copy of the scripts folder and the database folder to have an old copy.
These folders are often found in c:\program data\Acronis\TrueImageHome
I really do not believe a new installation will have a bearing on the situation you are discussing.
The long backups not completing may being effected by the Power configuration.
On those tasks where TI scheduling is involved, there is an advanced settings which could be examined to make sure the keep from sleeping option is in effect.
We have discussed several possibiities. Can you explain in more detail the "I did try the Windows Scheduler solution and it works".
What did you try and what worked?
This may be of interest.
