Can't add older scheduled backup to the backup list in version 2011 Home

Thread needs solution

I've recently had one of my two RAID drives die and had it replaced. After the replacement, and following the last windows update, things kind of went to hell, so I wanted to recover an earlier version of the machine. I have recently had Acronis 2011 Home set to back up nightly in a schedule under the name @date@_Full_Backup. In the backup list for Acronis I can see the @date@_Full_Backup but it only allows me to recover the last backup from this schedule. There are 4 backups under this name on my external drive and I've tried to add the earlier version from 10/8 but it will only allow me to add and recover 10/11. When I select the 'explore all versions' option for @date@_Full_Backup, I get a warning asking me to specify the location of version 1. When I select the 'browse' option, I can see all the backups, but I can't add any of the earlier versions to the backup list. If you select an earlier version and then pick 'add to backup list' it isn't added as a separate version. Is there a way to force Acronis to 'see' an earlier full backup so I can recover it? Thank you in advance for any assistance...

Perhaps I am not understanding.

So if your desired restore file is a dif or inc, the base full must be added as well.
All files in the chain should appear as one listing of multiple files.
You may need to add all files in the chain, in order to be able to select your single specific file.
If the chain is already listed, then the desired file will be added to the list which already exists but all files in the chain may need to be added.

If the desired file is a standalone full, it should be able to be added as a single chain.

As I say,I may not be understanding
