Hi people.

I have been having issues with Acronis B&R 11.5 since I first installed it many months ago. We got it going, but we have found that it is backing up at the pedestrian rate of the order of 2.5MB/s to say 10MB/s, which means pretty slow. As well, it continually has issues, such as not being able to backup the main file server. I finally got so frustrated that I have downloaded a trial version of BE and find that, amazingly, all the issues have disappeared and BE backs up the same data, no issues and at 4400MB/min. Any ideas? Same tape drive, same system, different backup software. I have been in contact with Acronis support numerous times and nothing has been resolved to my satisfaction. For example, they resolve an issue and yet another crops up. One major issue is the fact that we can't do a unified backup with B&R, by which I mean, select SQL Server, Exchange Server, File Server and Virtual Servers in one continuous backup, and one job and have it backup to a single tape. The sales rep at Acronis knew what I wanted, and assured me that it would do this, but, no, it can't. This has caused numerous problems as well. Anybody else have these types of issues? This software has caused more issues that I have ever had with any single software installation in a career spanning over 20 years. Do you think I'm annoyed? Probably.

Hello Gavin!

I have the same issues. I try for backup 1,7Tb data as File backup. Bad idea! It broken after one day.

When i try to create Disk backup, it took 1 day 7 hours. Speed at ~15MB/sec. Awesome! Just awesome... 1Gi network! Raid of more than 10 disk! High-speed disk i mean, not SATA. Copy of file from one server to another with SMB share about 80-90MB/sec.

And some intresting, if only one ping losted and thats all, Acronis cant solve this. They say: "Hey, i cant do this. Went one day and still had a few hours, but now it fail. Please, do it again"
Again? Again not known how to wait? You kidding me.

Strange messages appear in log. Message text: "Todo: Fix activity description." What than means, ah? It seems like todo comment in source code.

And some epic at the end: Acronis cant do more than one plan of backup running at the same time at one machine.

I feel despair and agony of about this product.
