Thread needs solution

I have one weekly task backing up my SSD OS drive; using full and differential backups. Only problem I've run into is that Arconis is not deleting older backups as I've asked it to. Now reading through the forum I've found that editing the task (which I've done a few times) may screw things up.

Is there any way to fix this; or must I resort to deleting manually or creating a new task. If the latter how do I stop the first task without losing the backups. And can I restore my system from those backups if I choose to in the future.

Thanks in advance.

Click on the gear menu of the task, click more > remove from the list. Then, you can/should move the existing back files in a hidden directory on the same disk so that ATI doesn't find these archive files and put them back on your list of backups.
Then, create a new task. Remember to include ALL partitions of you SSD in your backup!

Thank-you. I assume in order to add the old backups to the back-up list; I have to made folder unhidden. But I want to make the new task with thew folder hidden?

If you want to let ATI (Acronis True Image) rediscover your old backup files and show them on the backup list, don't hide the folder in which you have moved them. Otherwise, move them in a hidden folder.
The new backup task should not be saved in a hidden folder.
If you are confused with the hidden folder trick, just ignore it. Move your older backup files to some other directory on the same volume to avoid a long file copy. Create your new backup task.
