Failed to find information about operating system in Master Boot Record
Hello Anna
This old bug made it over from 2013 into 2014.
http://forum.acronis.com/forum/41232
If my external 4TB hard drive is attached, then when I start True Image, this gets written to the log: "'Failed to find information about operating system in Master Boot Record".
Please can you check with QA / Development and advise.

Hi Anna
If you go through the original thread at
http://forum.acronis.com/forum/41232
you can see that I originally thought it could be related to the BCD data or MBR or boot files. But in the end, after I did I lot of that kind of troubleshooting, none of that was relevent. The log message doesn't pertain to my local system drive, but to an external 4TB drive connected via USB.
If I disconnect the external 4TB USB drive, then the error message doesn't get generated in the log when True Image starts. If someone in QA can connect an external USB drive larger than 2TB, they will be able to observe the problem for themselves.

Hello Grindax,
thank you for your answer.
As mentioned earlier, we will need additional information from your system.
2) SnapAPI logs
Please send me this reports via PM, so that we can start an investigation.
Thank you in advance!

Hi Anna, I've moved the external 4TB drive to a different PC where it's currently being used for media sharing. If I move it back to my main desktop PC some time in the future I can run those reports.
Does no-one at Acronis have a large-capacity USB hard drive they can plug into their PC to observe the same thing? And no-one else in this forum?
