Installation Error 2014 Premium

Thread needs solution

I have XP Pro and tried to install 2014 Premium (I have TI 2013 on machine now) and got this error:

Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\ti_managers_proxy.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory.

Does anyone have an idea to fix this>

Not sure if this will help, but have you tried to use the TIH cleanup utility to remove 2013 and the incomplete 2014 install? http://kb.acronis.com/content/34876 While installing over a previous version can go smoothly, it sometimes does not. Even using the included uninstall routine sometimes doesn't get all the little pieces. That can cause the new version to fail to install or have trouble even if it appears to have installed correctly.
