Upgrade True Image 2012 license to True Image 2014 license

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Want to upgrade my True Image 2012 to a True Image 2014.

Before I buy the upgrade license I want to know if it is necessary to install the True Image 2012 on the Win 8.1 machine. The Win8.1 is a new Portable but I still have left a True Image 2012 license from my family pack license of a few years back.

I read that True Image 2012 doesn't work on Win 8 and Win 8.1, so I am not sure if it is wise to first install True Image 2012 on the Win8.1 and then upgrade it to True Image 2014. Is it possible to directly install a True Image 2014 'upgrade' license executable on Win8.1 without first installing True Image 2012?

What needs to be done? Is a fully new True Image 2014 license necessary?

Thanks,
Sven

When you run the installer without a previous version installed on the system, the installer will ask for two keys your 2014 key and your 2012 key.

To clarify, you don't need the older software to be installed to install the upgrade, but you need, as Joey says, the 2 serial numbers.
