Nonstop backup stops
I have two drives, a primary SDD with Windows 8.1 and a secondary HDD. There is Acronis SecureZone on the HDD.
When I create a nonstop backup, initially it seems OK. Creates a full backup and then does snapshots in every 5 minutes. But it works only until I restart my computer.
After restart, it seems OK for a few minutes, but one time it gives a popup, that the Nonstop backup stopped. I can't restart it anymore. I've already tried to delete and re-create the whole backup but it stops every time and becomes unusable.
The Acronis event log contains the following message:
The item essence is incorrect. Probably metadata in the file archive is corrupted.
More information about this error and solutions may be available online in the Acronis Knowledge Base.
To access the online resource manually, enter the event code at: http://kb.acronis.com/errorcode/
Event code: 0x00170813
Is there any solution to this?

Is there any way to delete/clear the ASZ without repartitioning the drive?
I'm a little afraid of shuffling partitions because the drive holds valuable data. (I know, I should back up before doing this.)
I will try to store the nonstop backup elsewhere to see what happens, this way I can rule out the ASZ problem, thanks for the tip.

Yes, you can delete the ASZ from ATI. Do a backup/copy of the content of the disk as a precaution.

I've created a nonstop backup to a network share as a test and it seems OK now. Maybe something wrong happened with the ASZ...
I'm about to recreate it. I've chosen the Remove option in the Manage Acronis Secure Zone Wizard, but I'm not sure if it will leave my other partitions intact or not.
The help contains the following:
Removing Acronis Secure Zone
Select the partitions to which you want to add the space freed up from Acronis Secure Zone. If you select several partitions, the space will be distributed proportionally to each partition’s size.
Does it mean that if I don't select any partitions, then it just deletes the ASZ and the space become unused?
(I just want to be sure that the existing other partitions will not change.)

I've solved the problem. There wasn't any clue in the Acronis logs about the cause of the problem. But when I've checked my Kaspersky antivirus logs, I've found records about blocking file reads by Acronis process. It turned out that the Kaspersky self-defense mechanism blocked the Acronis access to the Kaspersky files.
I've added the Acronis processes to the trusted programs list, and now the Nonstop backup is still working good after 3 reboots.
(My previous post about using network share as nonstop backup destination was a false positive, it did not create any file because permission problems, however the backup looked like successful in the logs… but that's a different story.)
