can v13 create a ready-to-go system drive?

Thread needs solution

Hi, I am considering purchasing acronis 2013. I am already not impressed that I cannot call acronis tech support to get a direct "yes" or "no". I would clone the current SSD system drive to a bigger SSD. Let's assume I will have to install w7 from the MS DVD, that acronis will not simply make a pure clone from the existing working SSD. That's correct, right? But for all the rest - will Acronis make working copies of all the programs on the old SSD, that will work right out of the box on the new SSD? Thanks.

Hi Paul,

Not all hardware is the same so for many the answer would be yes and for others, the answer would be no.
You won't know until you try. If you buy the 2014 version from Acronis, there is a 30 day money back guarantee.

If your Win7 system is UEFI or GPT, the answer would problably be ???

If your system is MBR, there is a very good chance of success.

A clone would contain all the same contents of the old disk. Many of us prefer to use the Backup and Restore method for the same os safe data.

You might want to review the procedures suggested by Acronis.
Click on link 1 below and review link 3-RR.

You might also find link 3 below, item 1 inside that link to be of interest.

Note: please refer to your 2013 version as 2013. A reference to it as 13 will get you wrong answers as 13 was an older version.
