Key file or key to create bootable Media

Thread needs solution

When I try to make a bootable media by the builder it now is asking me for the license. Thats fine of course but where is the key file to Import.

Putting the key in by copy and paste doesn't work.

Take License from server doesn't work so now I can only create a recovery to Online storage I do NOT need.

Who knows the answer! ???????

Ari,

Did you solve it or just give up?

Hi,

I got the same problem. Paste License doesn´t work.

I got 2 License Keys. 1 for ABR 11 and 1 for ABR 11.5 Upgrade. Which should I use?

Hildwin,

Try importing the serial.text file (download it from your acronis account), you will need both keys, if you import the serial.txt file both the serial numbers wil be in it already.

I also have problems with 11.5 building bootable media.
I paste in 11.5 license key and it says 'No licenses were specified'.

The license key was generated from upgrading from version 11.
This is on a fresh install on a trial PC.

Andrew,

As I mentioned in the post above yours, have you tried importing the serial.txt file? I have found this to work when for mwhatever reason pasting the serial doesn't. I have also found that installing Licence Server also solves the problem sometimes.

Colin,
Thanks for the reply.
Yes tried both methods, also from the license server installed initially.
Also tried repair on the install and re-installed.

Havn't tried to install license server from .msi, but past experience with those has not been good.

Tried a test system not connected to network or domain and it picks up the license, from I assume the license server,
without the need to type paste in license.

I have had other issues with 11.5 when used on the domain/network,e.g. remote install failing, when things have been fine with version 11.
Development team looking at the issues.

I am having the same problem. I upgraded my 11.0 license to 11.5. No matter what I do, I can't get Bootable Media Builder to see the license keys. I've tried both my 11 and 11.5 keys....and both of them together. Is there a workaround for this? I don't have a license server.

The only workaround that comes to mind is to download the bootable media ISO from your Acronis account and burn that to a CD or ISO bootable USB flash stick.

I had upgraded from B&R 10 to 11.5. I had the same issue attempting to create bootable media. Error message: No license keys specified. Initially I was attempting to enter only my 11.5 license key. The answer (for me) was to paste in both my 10.0 & 11.5 license keys. I pasted them on separate lines.

That resolved my issue. Hope this helps.
