Boot CD Crashes

Thread needs solution

Do I need to make a new boot CD for every update?

I had one from #6025, and I updated to #6053, but now, when I boot from the CD, it keeps re-booting and won't backup or restore.

The bootCD doesn't know what version of ATI is installed on the PC; it doesn't even boot up into the same OS- it uses linux. Howvere, when the new versions of ATI include new versions of the bootCD, the new versions can sometimes fail to work on software on which the older version worked. In that case you need to get an iso to burn a diff bootCD that has the right ddrivers to work on your PC or use the older bootCD.

I'd first ry recreating the bootCD just in case the problem is due to a bad burn. That would only cost a few cents and take a few minutes.

Hello Chuck and Scott,

Let me assist you with this situation.

Generally, it's not necessary to recreate a CD with each new build we release. If you have a working one, just use it. In your particular situation I'd recommend you to download the version which is based on another loader (the version has some extended list of drivers and startup parameters). We have implemented the possibility to download the appropriate ISO file after logging into your account (the serial number should be registered). This option is available for the current and (n-1) versions. Please log in to your account, go to the Registered products and downloads section -> Bootable media. Download the file.
To get access to the ISO you should first register Acronis software.

You can find more information on how to burn an ISO image to a CD here.

I'd like to make sure all your queries regarding Acronis products are resolved.
Additionally to this, you are welcome to ask me any other questions concerning Acronis, and I will assist you further.

Thank you.
