Can I recover an individual file from a Disk Backup?

Thread needs solution

I create weekly full Disk Backups of my C drive. I need to recover a single file, but if I try to do a Recover from one of those disk backups the only options I get is to restore the entire C drive. I there a way to get back an individual file from these backups?

If the backup task is listed in the Backup and Recovery tab, you can right-click on the task and select "Recover Files". You will see a timeline based screen with dates and times on the bottom. Click on the date you wish to restore from and find the file(s) you need to restore. You can restore to the original location or to a new location.

If the backup image is not in the list, use the icon "browse for backups" to add the backup image to the list and use the same procedure.

You can also double-click on the backup image file itself in Windows Explorer and "open" the backup image and browse, or search it, to find the file and or files you need to restore.

Thanks, that resolved my problem. When I click the Recover button on a Disk Backup it doesn't let me select individual files, but that option is there on the right-click menu like you said.

Great and useful answer -- but is there a way to recover hidden files?

I need to recover a couple of files from within the C:/Users/[Name]/AppData folder but they don't display in the Acronis Files and folders tab.

Surely they must have been backed up as part of the disk back up?
