File recovery failed

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I have had several issues with Acronis not creating backups properly, so I've deleted my SFTP vault entirely and created an FTP vault. The VMs all back up perfectly fine, no errors in the logs, but when I try to recover a test directory, it does not recover. Acronis is installed on the Hyper-V host, and I tried to recover a directory from a Win2K3 Server guest. I am running the latest update, 11.5.38573.

Hi James,

The recovery issue is likely to be caused by the specifics of particular FTP server settings. The FTP protocol doesn't support "seek" file operation which is required for random access into various parts of the backup image. To overcome this limitation Acronis Backup emulates "seek" via 'abort' and 'retry' requests. If where are too many such "aborts", FTP server may simply disconnect the client (Acronis Backup Agent). In order to confirm this can you please enable the FTP logging as described in http://kb.acronis.com/content/2465 and submit a support ticket for this incident?

Thank you.
