Synchronize two 2TB data drives?
I have one 2TB drive in my PC that only contains files (no programs or OS). I want to keep a copy of it on an external 2TB drive.
1. I do NOT want to make a Trueimage backup onto the external drive because I want to be able to access the files on the external drive directly from any other PC or start using it directly in windows explorer without having to use Trueimage to restore or open files if the source drive fails.
2. Copying all the files with xcopy or something like that or duplicating the whole drive with Norton Ghost is not very practical because the full 2TB will take ages to copy and I expect only a few percent of the files to change each month so it is unnecessary.
Is Trueimage SYNCHRONIZATION practical for synchronizing two drives with millions of files? Or will I have to resort to other software like SyncBack?
Thanks in advance
JD

Another solution which would work quite well is the use of Karen's Replicator which is a free (donation requested) copy program which can be scheduled and provides log files and error messags.
After the initial full copy, the progam will only copy files which were changed since the last copy run of Replicator. It is very fast and ensures a good copy.
